Fraud Awareness

MIVI will never ask you to pay outside our website, install an app, or share your UPI PIN or OTP. Learn how to recognise and report a scam impersonating MIVI.

Last updated: 14 September 2026

MIVI is committed to keeping our customers safe. Fraudsters may attempt to impersonate MIVI to obtain money or personal information. Please read the following carefully.

MIVI will never:

  • Ask you to make any payment outside www.mivi.in. All payments are collected only on our website at the time of checkout.
  • Ask you to pay a fee to release, reconfirm, reship, or clear an order.
  • Ask you to install any application - including AnyDesk, TeamViewer, QuickSupport, or any screen-sharing or remote-access tool.
  • Ask you for your UPI PIN, OTP, CVV, card number, net-banking password, or bank account credentials.
  • Ask you to scan a QR code or approve a UPI collect request in order to receive a refund.
  • Contact you from a personal mobile number or a number not listed on this page.

Please remember: Receiving money never requires a PIN, a QR scan, or an approval. Anyone asking you to enter your UPI PIN or scan a QR code “to receive a refund” is attempting to take money from your account, not send it.

Official MIVI channels

All order updates are sent only through your MIVI account and our official channels below. Any other number or page claiming to be MIVI is not us.

Refunds are always returned automatically to your original payment method. We never process a refund through a link, a QR code, or a UPI request.

If you are contacted by someone claiming to be from MIVI:

  • Do not make any payment, share any code, or install any application.
  • End the call and verify by contacting us through the Support Centre or at support@mivi.in.
  • If you have already lost money, call the National Cyber Crime Helpline on 1930 immediately and file a report at cybercrime.gov.in. Reporting within the first few hours significantly improves the chance of recovery.
  • Inform your bank at once and ask them to freeze the transaction.
